Privacy Policy
The short version: your script lives in your browser. We don’t see it. The only thing that leaves your device is what you say to Kleo, and that goes to Anthropic, who don’t use it for training. Read on for the long version.
What we collect
Anonymous analytics through Vercel Analytics — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. We see aggregate page views and rough region, nothing that identifies you. We also collect basic error reports (browser type, route, error stack) so we can fix things that break. That’s it.
What we don’t collect
We don’t store your IP address beyond what our CDN keeps in transient logs. We don’t build behavioural profiles. We don’t use advertising IDs. There is nothing to sell, because there is nothing collected.
What goes to Anthropic when you use Kleo
Kleo is powered by Anthropic’s Claude API. When you send Kleo a message, your prompt and the relevant script context (active scene, recent dialogue, voice settings) are sent to Anthropic’s servers so Claude can respond. Anthropic does not use API requests to train their models. You can read their commitment here: privacy.anthropic.com.
Where your work lives
Your screenplays are stored in your browser’s localStorage— on your device, not on our servers. We don’t have a database of your scripts. We can’t read them. If you clear your browser data, your work is gone with it. Use the Export feature in the editor to keep a copy.
Cookies
None right now. If we ever add a cookie — even an analytics one — we’ll show you a banner and ask first.
Your rights
GDPR and CCPA give you the right to access, delete, and export your data. Because your data lives in your browser:
- Access— you already have it; it’s in your browser’s storage.
- Deletion— clear your browser’s site data for SceneFlow, or use your browser’s “Clear data for this site” option.
- Export— use the Export option in the editor’s File menu (PDF, FDX, Fountain, or .sfw).
